...My very mature husband has decided to crash the slumber party again. Tomorrow he is going to chase girls around the playground and pull their pigtails. You know what that means, right?

  1. I am trying not to be offended. I do think that men have difficulty undertanding a woman's need to be affirmed because, unlike women, men are constantly affirmed through their occupation and the world in general. I'm impressed that he actually takes the time to blog.

  2. It's true; our needs are so different. Over the last few years, I have finally started to grasp the importance of taking personal responsibility for how I feel about myself. The love and support I receive from Chris, family, and friends is important, but I can't base my self-esteem on it. Instead I am learning to base it on my "divine nature, individual worth..." Those words I've recited so often are suddenly finding a real place in my heart! (ok, did any of that even make sense?!)
