Why I love me

[This post was written by Chris, back when he had permission to post on my blog.]

What a special activity. I don’t want to, but I just have an inner need to spout off 10 things about me that I love. This will help me realize my true actualization as a person, man, individual, and physical body on this glorious earth I call home. I hope this doesn’t come across egotistical or prideful, but here goes:

* I love that I am me. I mean, who else would I be? Just me. I love me.
* I love that I am pretty much the greatest person around. I have faults. Well I don’t think I do, but I am willing to admit it is a possibility.
* That leads me to my next point. I love that I can admit that I might have flaws. I don’t know if I am not perfect, but I am thinking about considering the idea.
* I love that I have ideas. I think all the time, “I am great at coming up with ideas.” Even if they aren’t meaningful, I have ideas come to mind at least once or twice a week.
* I love that I am unique. You might think that I am not since I am just a normal guy spending time on my blog, but I am unique. You might even say, “He has brown hair and blue eyes and there really isn’t anything that distinguishes him from anyone else.” But you are wrong. I am actively coming up with ways to support this and would be happy to share when I find proof.
* I love that I am willing to share ideas that I am still formulating about how I am unique. What a precious gift that is. You probably don’t have that gift like I do.
* I love that I have gifts that you don’t have. That isn’t your fault—I am unique! I have ideas. But I am not willing to share my gifts.
* I love that I protect my gifts that I have or that I am trying to prove that I have. I can’t really articulate any of these supposed gifts, and they might not actually exist. But I dream about them and protect them.
* I love that I am a dreamer. I dream about having gifts and being unique because of these gifts and ideas that I have been thinking about, and searching for. This is because I am great, and I love that. Because I am me.
* I love that I am me. I mean, who else could have created a list like this?

I am the most humble person I know, so please don’t judge me. This is a simple attempt to express the LOVE I have for me, me, me.

Wow. What can I say? Everyone sure is getting quite the dose of my husband this week. Too bad a good majority of people currently reading this blog don't know my husband. And now you will probably never want to meet him. He means well, really he does. Some things just make some people uncomfortable. Like the fact that when I ask him for a list of what he likes about me, all he can say is, "uhh... well, you're a good wife?" and now he realizes there are actually some real answers to that question. i love you chris. but i might have to kick you off the blog soon... :)

By the way, lest anyone think that Chris is making fun of you or your list, please know that he only read my list, so again, I am the one being mocked. So much for next Tuesday's Top-Ten, entitled "Why I Love my Husband." :)

Other than the insightful articulation that Chris has presented to us about this beautiful strengths, I think my favorite part of his post is the beautiful bouquet of flowers that adorn it. It's such a perfect match. . .
