Top-Ten Tuesday
Chris finished up two of his summer classes. Now, instead of being gone Monday-Thursday evenings, he'll just be gone Wednesdays and Thursdays for the rest of the summer. It was so nice to have him home tonight. We took the kids for a quick swim, which they loved. The best part of the night for me was that instead of putting TV on for the kids while I tried to get dinner on the table, I had Chris there to play with them. They raided the game closet and had a great time.

Look at that game closet! We got some board games for our wedding (10 years ago this summer) and just took one out of the wrapper because Grant wanted to play with the pieces! Isn't it wonderful when daddies are home?
Have you ever played Sequence? It's my favorite board game ever.
My kids would have loved joining in on the fun. I am not a game person. This past week I was trying to be an extra good mommy and played UNO and Skipbo twice. My kids love visiting Birch's family because they are game- alcoholics.
Mike and I have always dreamed of having a well-stocked game closet. John loves Memory and Candyland. Mike and I like different types of card games. One of my favorite things about camping is all of the game playing, because, honestly, what else is there to do?

We've stocked our closet slowly over the years. At our house, games are a standard gift for birthdays, Christmas, and other special occasions.
Oh I miss all the games, remember the days before kids? Where's scattergories on the list???
It crossed my mind Chelsea, but we don't want to send me storming out of the room now, do we? And yes, the good old days--playing Mario Kart until 2 a.m....
I remember more than a few highly competive games of NERTS at the Worth kitchen table, accompanied of course with Oreo milkshakes!
I couldn't stay in the blog shadows any longer... we have arrived!
Settlers is definitely one of our favorites. Have you ever played Ticket to Ride? That's a fun one too!
Hi , I found your blog by searching for "Nerts" online. It is cool to see others that know the game. I hope you don't mind but I just wanted to let you know about playnertz.com. It has got a bunch of Nertz information there as well as videos and online Nertz games. Feel free to check it out. Also you, your friends/family are welcome to join fellow Nertz players in The National Nertz Association while you are there.
