I Can't Believe I Ate the Whole Thing

We spent the last couple days debating the best methodology for preparing our stomachs for tonight's dinner--"is it better to skip lunch and be starving or should we eat a lot to stretch our stomachs out?" We ate at The Roof, a fantastic gourmet buffet on the tenth floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square. Chris and I went with his brothers Phil and Tom. Thankfully Tom brought a friend so I wasn't the only one sitting on the sidelines listening to the three brothers engaging in their favorite activity--reminiscing and retelling stories that get crazier with each telling and will never ever grow old.

The food was fantastic (watch the video on their site for a sample). My preparation today entailed eating an early lunch of yogurt and granola so I would be hungry enough to eat my money's worth tonight. The preparation was indeed effective. Since arriving home, I have been sitting in one spot for at least 3 hours, waiting to feel well enough to drag my gluttonous body upstairs. Will I make it before morning? Only time will tell.

  1. I love that place! Soooo good! Glad you enjoyed. It's OK to be "gluttonous" at a place like that.

  4. How fun! I hate that feeling of having overate -- but at the same time I totally would be the one overeating to get my money's worth.
