Since we are less than 2 weeks away from Halloween, I suppose I should start thinking about costumes for the boys. How about a little trip down memory lane, for inspiration?

Worth Family Costumes Over The Years
- It's ok to recycle costumes. A lot.
- In a pinch, a garbage bag will make a great witch costume.
- When in doubt, be a clown. Or a hobo.
- Sometimes a fuzzy afro comes in handy.
- Too old to dress up, but still want to go trick-or-treating? Just throw on your purple striped shirt and bowler hat; no one will recognize you.
- Boys need facials too!

I heard recently of an idea to have a Halloween costume swap--as many costumes you bring to donate you go home with that many new costumes.
We have always done the method of...go look in the dress up box and see what you can figure out to be this year.
Last week a family from church invited our kids to come over and look through their Halloween's of the Past and see if there is something that is appealing to the kids.
One more tip...last year I went to Old Navy on Halloween Day and they had the CUTEST costumes marked down like 80%. I came home with a very cute and well-made pirate costume.
Here's to another year of recycling!!!
Those are some pretty cool Worth family costumes. Grant's been the same thing every year, he might switch it up this year though.
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing. I especially loved the dalmations. Can't wait to see what they are this year.
I have saved all of the costumes that I have made. Then when I hear of someone needing a costume and can offer those. The kids love to dress up in them all year long too. I loved all of the pictures!
That's really sweet how your boys all started out wearing the same costume. I have to say Nancy, I love your huge afro hair in that picture.
I was so uncreative with my costumes as a kid. I was a "Pretty Lady" for a few years in a row. Oh dear... why wasn't I embarresed by that at 8? Apparently that's the only costume I could make out of our dress up box the day before Halloween.
Ryan and I were nerds for our Ward Halloween party on saturday. It was easy and fun, except for the few funny comments asking us why we didn't dress up. :)
I'm embarrassed to say how long it took me to get the whole Michael being Thomas and Tommy being Mike. . .lol. . .don't worry, I finally got it!
