Top Ten Tuesday
Tommy is up in bed reading, and shouting down to me every time he finishes a chapter of his book. It has 12 chapters, and he is supposed to be done with it tomorrow. He just started reading it today...oops. The terrible part of the story is that he was the one reminding me every day last week that he needed to read it, and I kept telling him that we would get to it the next day. Then of course, we lost the book over the weekend. I've already assured Tommy that I spoke to his teacher, and that he will not be in trouble for not finishing it, but the thought of showing up to school with work unfinished is terrifying him, so he is pulling a first-grade version of an all-nighter. Isn't it sweet how he takes after me? Well, that got me thinking.
- A fuzzy afro
- Thriftiness
- A proclivity for a sedentary lifestyle, which I
constantlyoccasionally battle to overcome - Big, droopy eyes with thick crow's feet
- Geekiness
- My collection of cassette tapes full of 80s music
- A mostly-cheery disposition
- Defined calves
- Obsessive interest in things that suck my brain of all ability to tell time or do things that I should be doing
- Love of life

I would gladly inherit any of those things from you, they're not so bad! I already have my own fuzzy afro, so i'm one up, nine to go. I worry about my kids getting my awful sense of direction. I turned the wrong way out of the door from 8th grade algebra for the entire year.
Loved this! Hum...I am going to have to think about this same concept with my own children. I am sure you "love of life" is addicting!
I loved that list Nancy. So many of the reasons I love you!
Your eyes are my favorite features about you. Sounds like your kids are pretty lucky.
Amy
i can't get rid of my 80's music either!! it's almost easier to throw the tape away after nate has pulled out the tape and destroyed it instead of giving it away! i just can't admit that i may never NEED the tapes again.
Fun to read...love the last one, what a great thing to pass on.
