Welcome to Month in Review: June 2008, documenting events for our family history. Summer is upon us, whether my exhausted pregnant body likes it or not...
- Katie & Quin came for an overnight stay. We have been so happy to live near them ever since we've had kids, although they are a bit further away these days (2 hours)
- Tommy was a frog in his class play. I didn't manage to remember the camera, but I did remember to use my phone, but I didn't manage to zoom in close enough to the stage, or catch him before he stripped his costume off the minute it was over. It was cute, trust me.
- School is out. Can you hear me cheering? I didn't think so.
- All three boys are in swimming lessons. We go in the mornings, then usually follow it up with lunch at the park. Having them all in lessons is great and exciting, but it keeps me busy making sure they aren't drowning, getting lost, or just getting me wet. A bit too busy to get many pictures, unfortunately.
- David celebrated his second birthday.
- We are excited to be having another boy!
- We celebrated Kids' Day, along with other Worth Family members across the country.
- A friend from our days at USU set up a potluck bbq with our Logan friends. It was so fun to visit with old friends, and let our kids get (re)aquainted with each other. (I took some great pictures of them on the slip-and-slide, but my memory card broke!)
- My nephew Reed stayed with us for a few days before attending a BYU theater camp. We had a fondue feast!
- I spent a week calling in to a hotline every night, waiting to see if I would be assigned to jury duty. I forgot to call on the final night, and found out the next morning (too late) that I was supposed to have been there that day. Luckily I got out of it without getting in trouble.
- A major crisis was averted one day when Tommy called up to me that Michael and David had been playing with a knife. I went downstairs to assess the situation (not that I had left them alone or anything...), and Tommy showed me our largest chef knife, which the little boys had gotten out of the dishwasher. One boy had a very faint scratch on his forehead, but luckily nothing serious had happened. I was so proud of Tommy for getting the knife from them, putting it away, and telling me about it.
